Euthanasia controversy

A hospital in the Netherlands made headlines recently for admitting that it had illegally euthanized severely disabled infants. Euthanasia is legal in that country for adults, and doctors would like to see it extended to those who are not able to make the decision for themselves, including the severely mentally retarded and babies who are extremely premature or born with severe cases of spina bifida and other disabilities that would make them unable to live off life support.
