ADHD and iron deficiency

Could iron supplements replace Ritalin as the medication of choice for ADHD? A small study examining the level of iron in the blood of children with and without ADHD showed that the hyperactive kids were far more likely to have low to extremely low levels, and that the greater the deficiency, the more severe the symptoms.
