Suit over Children's Motrin
Wednesday December 29, 2004
A seven-year-old who was blinded after a severe allergic reaction to Children's Motrin is suing Johnson & Johnson, makers of the over-the-counter painkiller. The suit by Sabrina Brierton Johnson and her family alleges that the company knew that Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, which causes fever and blistering and can result in blindness, was a side effect of the drug, but chose not to reveal that information to consumers.
