Try a new therapy option this summer
Friday May 27, 2005
Unstructured summer time -- when the burden of school schedules are removed from your family (but the comfort of routine and the regimen of school-based therapies are removed, too) -- is a good time to try out other therapeutic options for your child. You may want to try a new type of therapy you've heard of, see if a different therapist could better implement existing therapies, or try doing some therapy activities at home with your child. For some suggestions, check our section on therapies for children with special needs, which includes Web sites and books on home-based therapies that parents can do, without commuting or co-pays.
