A few items of movie interest: Fans of Luke Jackson's book Freaks, Geeks and Asperger Syndrome will be intrigued to learn that a movie is being made about his family. Helena Bonham Carter will play a character based on his mother, Jacqui, who raised seven kids -- four of them on the autism spectrum -- as a single mom. ... "Murderball" sounds like it should be some sort of straight-to-video sequel to "Rollerball," but in fact it's a documentary about quadriplegic rugby players. The film, which won the Documentary Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival, is due in theaters this month. ... A film with a very different take on quadriplegia, "Million Dollar Baby," will be released on DVD this Tuesday. Which makes this a good time to ask again, "Is 'Million Dollar Baby' Dangerous?" ...
