"Autism Rocks." "I Stim, Therefore I Am." "Not being able to talk is not the same as not having anything to say." Those are some of the spirited slogans on T-shirts and other items on our list of "Gifts for Autism Advocacy." The latest addition to the Holiday Survival Kit, the list offers great gift ideas for autistic kids and teens -- and is worth a look, whether you're shopping for someone with autism or not, just to see the positive and provocative things people have come up with to present an autistic point of view. More help on gift-buying for autistic kids can be found in a couple of items from the About.com guide to Autism Spectrum Disorders: a listing of online stores that sell appropriate items, and an article with advice to consider "Before You Buy Toys for the Child with Autism/PDD."
