Inclusion: Read all about it

Monday December 5, 2005
In honor of National Inclusive Schools Week, instead of a new book review today, I'd like to highlight two earlier reviews that emphasize the possibilities and potential of inclusion in our children's schools. "Believe in My Child with Special Needs" gives a parent's perspective on how and why inclusion works, while "Inclusion: 450 Strategies for Success" offers teachers the kind of down-to-details information that is so often lacking on how to accommodate children with special needs in mainstream classrooms. Both make good reading for parents who want to be movers-and-shakers for inclusion in their communities. For more on the subject, check the links in the Inclusion folder in our section on Special Education.
