Fasaholics Anonymous

Wednesday January 4, 2006
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder may not be an obvious topic for humor, but when you're stressed to the max dealing with your child's emotional and behavioral challenges, laughter is a necessary release. Or, as a quote from Bill Cosby declares from the top of the page, "If you can laugh at it, you can survive it." Dedicated to "those pitiful people who are addicted to alcohol affected children and/or FAS mail lists," the Fasaholics Anonymous site and newsletter features jokes and anecdotes on FASD and special-needs parenting in general. Check out "How many kids with FASD/ADHD does it take to screw in a light bulb," and follow the link at the end to "How many special ed administrators does it take to screw in a light bulb?" It's silly stuff, but some days, that's just what you need.
