If your child is like mine, it only takes him two or three hard swipes with a regular little skinny crayon to snap it in two. Even thicker, preschool type crayons often can't take the pressure of his excess force. You can let your crayon killer simply color with the tiny stubs, or try this recipe from Sherri Osborn, the About.com guide to Family Crafts. Gather up all those snapped and fractured crayons and melt them into new, creatively hued, hand-sized crayons that will stand up to pressure better than those skinny little sticks. ...
