Question of the Day: Bicycle helmets
Thursday February 23, 2006
My son is the Helmet Police, always pointing out when some child is riding a bike without a helmet. This is, in part, because I'm the Most Overprotective Mom in the World, and would wrap my boy in bubble-wrap if I could. Wearing a helmet when bike-riding is non-negotiable around here, but I know not all special-needs families feel the same, because my son has a special-ed classmate who's notorious for doing bicycle tricks that make my heart stop while wearing nothing on his head but a crewcut. Does your child wear a helmet when biking? Click on an answer below, and use your browser's back button if you need to choose more than one.
