Baby Charlotte's doctors again allowed to refuse treatment

Monday February 27, 2006
The up-and-down saga of little Charlotte Wyatt has taken another downturn as the two-year-old, who was born severely premature and has had a series of serious health problems that have kept her in the hospital for most of her short life, has contracted a viral infection, and her doctors have once again received permission from the courts to allow her to die if they deem it appropriate. Charlotte's parents have been battling to prevent that, and had a decision giving doctors life-and-death control overturned in October when their daughter's health was improving.
