Question of the Day: College

About.com Parenting of Adolescents Guide Denise Witmer has a poll on her site that got me thinking. She's asking parents whether they expect to pick up the expenses of sending their teen to college, or whether they expect that teen to work his or her way through. I had to click on the answer "My teen isn't going to college," and would do so for my pre-teen, too. Right now, I'd just like to see both of them have a positive, low-pressure experience in high school, find a job that gives them some sense of how to live in the world, and then, if somewhere down the line they need college to do what they want to do, we'll deal with it.
