Running events to raise money to cure something or other have become increasingly common, but this isn't one of them. Canadian 18-year-old Alex Bain is hoping to become the first autistic to run all the way across Prince Edward Island, tip to tip. He's running to raise money, but not to cure autism; he's looking, instead, to raise awareness of the abilities of autistics and to fund safety seminars to help law enforcement officers know what to do when they come into contact with autistic individuals.
