Get a spare set of textbooks for home

You know why you want an extra set of textbooks for your child to have at home -- to reinforce material, to do homework on sick days, to make up for forgetfulness, to lighten the carrying load -- but how do you get the school to go along? Find a compelling reason, based on your child's disability, and back it up with documents or notes that will make the school take notice. (But do your child a favor and make an appointment to pick the spare books up yourself -- hauling an entire set home is a pretty big burden.)
