Special education school, lesson #3: OT and PT

Thursday September 7, 2006
OT and PT aren't extraterrestial cousins of ET, but Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, two strategies that may be used to nudge your child's motor skills in the direction of developmental correctness. Since these therapies are among the services commonly offered by schools for children with identified motor delays, you'll want to get what they're about so you know what you're requesting and what the school is offering. Parenting Special Needs class is back in session today with lessons on PT and OT. Read the definitions, then follow the links to more information to learn more about them. There's a quiz tomorrow, so no dilly-dallying.
