Special education school, lesson #10: PLP

Wednesday September 20, 2006
Parenting Special Needs class is back in session, with instruction each school day from now to the end of the month on special education words and concepts you need to be familiar with. Today's topic is Present Level of Performance, an accurate and realistic one of which should be the starting point for any good IEP. Open your Web browsers now to the definition of PLP and begin reading, then review previous course work using the links below. Friday's quiz is coming fast. A PLP is the basis for the goals that make up the bulk of your child's IEP. Do you think the goals the school has for your child are ambitious enough? Take our poll and share your story.
