Special education school, lesson #12: Paraprofessionals

Monday September 25, 2006
Parenting Special Needs class is back in session, with instruction each school day from now to the end of the month on special education words and concepts you need to be familiar with. Today's topic is paraprofessionals, those tireless special education workers you may formerly have known as aides. Open your Web browsers now to the definition of paraprofessional and begin reading, then review previous course work using the links below. Your last quiz is coming up on Friday. Being an aide can be a thankless task, so here's your chance to show a little gratitude: Grade your child's aides in our quick poll, and share your observations, pro or con, in the comments.
