Special education school, lesson #14: The IEE

Wednesday September 27, 2006
Parenting Special Needs class is back in session, with instruction each school day from now to the end of the month on special education words and concepts you need to be familiar with. Today's topic is the Independent Educational Evaluation, your testing of last resort when your school district is either unwilling or unable to accurately judge your child's special educational needs. Open your Web browsers now to the definition of IEE and begin reading, then review previous course work using the links below. Quiz time is coming up again. Wondering what assessments the school may use to judge your child's performance and abilities? Sue Watson, the About Guide to Special Education, has a listing of Standardized Testing and Assessment for Special Education to help you out.
