Special education school, lesson #15: NCLB

Thursday September 28, 2006
Parenting Special Needs class is back in session, with instruction concluding today on special education words and concepts you need to be familiar with. Today's final topic before we leave special education school behind is the No Child Left Behind Act, which, depending on who you talk to, ensures a better education for all students or dooms students with special needs to failure. Open your Web browsers now to the definition of NCLB and begin reading, then review previous course work using the links below. After tomorrow's quiz, we're done here. Among other things, NCLB has put renewed emphasis on standardized testing and increased the pressure on schools and students to ace them. How does your child do on those blasted things? Take our poll and share the strife.
