Simple Pop-Ups You Can Make

Monday October 30, 2006
Halloween Site of the Day Special: The Parenting Special Needs Site of the Day has been taken over by goblins and, throughout the month of October, will feature a daily site offering Halloween help and happiness to kids with special needs. The Web site of pop-up book creator Robert Sabuda offers 22 pop-up cards for kids to make, including Halloween-appropriate Frankenstein, witch and bat designs. If those are too complicated for your child, try the Mouth Pop-Up, which requires no computer printing and little cutting and folding, and have your child draw a monster face around that moving mouth. The Layer Pop-Up is another super-simple one that could make a good base for a little haunted house.
