Sandbox Learning

Thursday November 16, 2006
Social stories are a great way to explain to kids with special needs about how to deal with emotions, school situations, and other challenges of everyday life. Sandbox Learning calls its social stories "Success Stories" and allows you to customize them, both by specifying the gender, hair and eye color, skin color, and mode of communication of the child in the drawings, and by providing personal details that will make the text more specific to your child and more useful in giving him or her ideas of how to behave. By registering on the site with a name and e-mail address, you can get a free Success Story; additional stories are $8.99 for a one-year subscription, during which time you can continue to customize them and print them out for different children or challenges.
