Photos and videos show off kids with special needs
Thursday January 25, 2007
You've almost made it through the week; what you need is a little inspiration to see you through to Friday. Check this space every Thursday morning for a little pick-me-up of photos and videos on Flickr, You Tube, Google Video, and other spots around the Web that feature children with special needs. This week's picks:
- The blog Super Duper Jack has a photo of young Jack, who has Mosaic Down syndrome, posing next to what he considers to be his "hidey hole," and what his parents consider to be the VCR. The shot of all the things he's jammed into it is pretty funny.
- I mentioned a series of Flickr photos called "Chemo Girl" in this space last November, and now here's the pay-off: an "after" shot of beautiful Chloe.
- And from "after" to "during": Another photo set of a child going through chemotherapy, "Diana," will follow a five-year-old's treatment for kidney cancer. "You're gonna be brave, right?"
