Site of the Day: Take a Stand

Friday May 11, 2007
TAS Logo

A lemonade stand, that is. Sunkist will be giving away 10,000+ lemonade stands, along with juicing supplies, to children ages 7 through 12 in the U.S. and Canada. Kids applying must write a 100-word pledge on how they'll run their stand, and name a charity to which the proceeds will go.

Among the child-helping charities recommended by Sunkist are Alex's Lemonade Stand, the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the March of Dimes, but any charity your child wants to support, including local endeavors, is fine. If you're looking for a summer project for your family, this may be one to look into. Read some success stories on the Sunkist site to get inspired.
