Site of the Day: Family Weekend for Kids With Diabetes

Do you know a family of a child with diabetes that could use a weekend away to play, learn, and network? Do you know such a family because you are such a family? Whether you're nominating yourselves or another worthy clan, the folks at Pump Wear, one of the online merchants featured in our Enterprising Parents profiles, would like to give you a hand. The company is sponsoring 15 to 20 families for a weekend next April at the Double H Ranch in New York's Adirondacks Mountains. The only cost to the families chosen will be the expense of getting there.

Weekend events will include a fashion show with former Miss America contestant Deana Herrera Walker; conference sessions on subjects related to raising a child with diabetes; vendor displays; children's programs; and typical camp activities like nature walks, horseback riding, swimming, and arts and crafts. You can download an application from the Pump Wear site. Return it by October 31, 2007, for consideration.
