What kind of vitamins does your child take? My daughter has just switched to regular over-the-counter adult vitamins, swallowed with juice. It's a big achievement, because not so long ago she couldn't swallow pills without much demonstrative gagging and choking, and now she's swigging 'em down with her cereal. My son is still on chewables prescribed by the pediatrician, though he doesn't so much chew them as suck on them, sometimes leading to very colorful drool. Keeps the shirt and the fingers out of his mouth for a while, anyway.

A dad on the Parenting Special Needs Forum is looking for liquid vitamins for his three-year-old, who is particular about flavors and textures. Writes NK1969: "Can anybody recommend a good brand/place to purchase liquid vitamins? A multivitamin would be great but in particular I'd like to find Omega3 DHA. The reason I'm looking for these in particular is because our 3yo DS was recently dx'd with "mild" autistic spectrum disorder. He's nearly nonverbal, prone to repetitive behavior to the point of being obsessive at times, easily excitable/distractible and has meltdowns when he doesn't get his way. I hear that DHA really helps even some of these behaviors out. The problem is that Justin is a really picky eater who fixates on certain textures and sweet and a sweet, chewy gummy bear would make our lives a living hell of screaming and pounding on the pantry door."

Do you have a good vitamin source, or alternative suggestion, for this parent? Share your advice on the forum.
