Site of the Day: Limbs for Life Foundation

Monday November 12, 2007

"We're not asking for much ... just an arm and a leg!"

That's the slogan of Limbs for Life, which provides prosthetics to people who have lost a limb due to accident, birth defect, disease, or other causes. The foundation collects both monetary donations and donations of used prosthetics that are still in good enough condition to help another patient. The donations are used to provide prosthetic care to those who otherwise could not afford it.

From the site, you can view a video about Limbs for Life, find out how to make a donation, apply to receive a prosthetic, and meet a few of the individuals who have been helped by the program.
