Site of the Day: Caregiving Across the States

Friday January 11, 2008

Do you provide in-home care for an adult child with special needs? Do you expect that you will one day? The Family Caregiver Alliance offers lots of information on resources for family caregivers, but one of the most useful is this state-by-state listing of services available.

Click on your state on the map, and you'll get a list of agencies that can provide respite or other help for caregivers, with links for each. You can also click on "Eligibility Criteria" to find out if the services are only for the elderly or for disabled adults as well, and download a profile of your state's offerings.
