Site of the Day: Air Square.ca

Tuesday February 26, 2008

Air Square.ca, launched last month, is an effort by the Asthma Society of Canada to engage adolescents with asthma, and help them take charge of their own asthma control. Noting that teens often fail to properly treat themselves due to denial, distraction, or the fear of being different, the society created a virtual mall in which teen users can find information and support.

In the AIR Square, teens can find six interactive shops covering different angles of their asthma experience -- Everyday Sports, Back to Basics Bookstore, O2 News, Clear the Air Pharmacy, Breathe Easy Boutique, and Airway Arcade. There's also a Food Court with a forum for sharing with fellow site users.
