One of my favorite publishers for serious books on special needs is Brookes Publishing. Every year for Autism Awareness Month, the company gives away a library of autism books once a week throughout April. This year is no exception, and the 13 books in the collection this time around include two I've reviewed here -- The Autism Encyclopedia and Parenting With Positive Behavior Support -- and one I'll be reviewing at the end of this month, Straight Talk About Autism.

The giveaway is part of an Autism Resource Center on the Brookes site that includes a free webinar on improving reading comprehension for students with autism; Q&As about autism with many of the publisher's authors; links to interactive resources like a quiz, a video, and downloadable materials; and a listing of new and forthcoming books of interest to parents and professionals.
