For the fifth year, Sunkist is giving away lemonade stands to help children ages 7-12 raise money for charity. Last year, more than 15,000 kids in the U.S. and Canada participated, and this time around the company plans to distribute 20,000 stands, with the first 500 applicants also receiving a kit that includes a hand juicer, peeler, brochure and recipe booklet.

Young fundraisers seeking assistance must write a 100-word pledge on how they'll run their stand, and name a charity to which the proceeds will go. Among those recommended by Sunkist are Alex's Lemonade Stand, the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the March of Dimes, but any charity your child wants to support, including local endeavors, is fine.

If you're looking for a summer project for your family, this may be one to check into. Read some success stories on the Sunkist site to get inspired. You can also view video clips from country star and Take a Stand spokesman Billy Dean, and get his recipe for mint tea lemonade.
