Site of the Day: ASL Video Dictionary
Dictionaries that just show still photos of individual signs can't give a complete picture of American Sign Language, since signs can change as they relate different meanings and relationships with other words in sentences. The video dictionary created by the National Technical Institute for the Deaf solves that problem by showing signs in context, in sentences, as well as individually. You can view 2,700 signs in 650 sentences, using a search feature or browsing through categories.
There are free demo videos available, but to explore the entire dictionary, you'll have to pay -- $39.99 for an annual online subscription, or $50 for a CD.
