Site of the Day: AMC Summer Movie Camp

Last summer, a free movie on Wednesday mornings was a staple of Camp Mom for my son and his friends. This year, that same theatre chain is charging a buck for those weekly a.m. showings of slightly old kid flicks, and this is one instance of rising prices I can actually applaud.
Proceeds from those dollar movies will be going to two charities: Variety - The Children's Charity, which provides grants to children with disabilities, and the Will Rogers Institute, which funds lung disease research and treatment.
From the AMC site, you can search for a theatre near you that's hosting the Movie Camp on Wednesdays at 10 a.m., through August 6; find out what movies are scheduled and when; and print out some puzzles to amuse your kids as they wait for the movies to start (or maybe wait in the endless concession lines.)
