Here's good news or bad news, depending on your tolerance for Jenny McCarthy and agreement with her views on autism and vaccines: According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress has signed a contract with Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions for a syndicated talk show. She's also writing a blog on Oprah.com, which at the moment seems to be about giving up refined sugar. Her talk show probably won't be about autism, but given the outspokenness of her advocacy, it seems likely that the topic will get frequent mention. Is that a promising possibility, do you think, or the wrong person or message? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Hopefully viewers will be respectful of the importance of vaccines in protecting our children throughout their lives.
I know she has and is going through all the horrors and difficulties with an autistic child as am I however,I don’t put much stock into what she says from her previous past moral decisions.
If it was not for Jenny my son would not be doing so wonderfully. I had believed he was born with Autism and that there was nothing I could do to change it Until I saw her on Oprah the first time and then I saw Dr. Kenneth Bock on Montel. I read their books and started biomed. My son started talking, he started playing with toys appropriately, the list goes on. He is far from recovered but I know I (with Jenny’s help) helped make him Feel better. I don’t always agree with everything Jenny does or says but I think she is doing wonderful things for thousands of children. I do feel horrible for the children that biomed doesn’t help and sometimes think Jenny is spreading false hope for them BUT you have to think of ALL the children it is working for and spread the word! As far as vaccines go Jenny is not against vaccines, she is against the vaccine schedule, the enormous amounts of vaccines and toxins in vaccines. I am a huge Jenny supporter and can’t wait for her show. Go Jenny!!
In addition to her beliefs about having “cured” her son of Autism, Ms. McCarthy also talks about some very strange new age ideas like she is an “indigo mother” and her son is a “crystal child” and also angels spoke directly to her at one point. I don’t think she represents the autism community as a whole very well in my opinion.
