Right now, right at the start of school, right when they hand out that list of school-year dates, before that list gets buried somewhere you'll never find it, take a calendar and mark those important dates on it. Vacations, conferences, meetings, random holidays, half days, last days, jot them down while the year is new and fresh. You should be able to pick up a sixteen-month calendar in stores now that starts with September, so you can go right on through the school year. You'll feel organized, and avoid being ambushed by changes in schedule.
