All kids struggle with overstuffed backpacks, but for children with special health, orthopedic or mobility needs, the burden can be particularly troublesome. Fortunately, there are things you can do to lighten the load. Requesting a set of textbooks for home so they don't have to be lugged about is a good place to start, and sorting through papers every night to remove the inessential stuffing keeps things clear.
