Site of the Day: What Can YOU Do?

Tuesday September 22, 2009

What It Is: "The What Can YOU Do? Web site is the centerpiece of the Campaign for Disability Employment, which seeks to promote positive employment outcomes for people with disabilities. Through outreach and public education, the Campaign aims to encourage employers and others to recognize the value and talent that people with disabilities bring to the workplace, as well as the dividend to be realized by fully including people with disabilities at work."

Who's In Charge: "The Campaign is a collaborative effort between the following organizations: American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD); National Business and Disability Council (NBDC); Special Olympics (SO); and U.S. Business Leadership Network (USBLN)."

Why It's Worth Checking Out: The site gives tips to employers, family, and members of the community on how they can promote employment for those with disabilities, and offers an opportunity for adults and young people with special needs to share what they are able to do and dream of doing.
