Use a Calendar With a Column for Each Family Member

I asked for your organizational strategies -- because frankly, I could use some new ones myself -- and reader karenmarie came through with a good solution for keeping track of all those appointments and meetings and activities: "A calendar that has a column for each member of the family has been a great tool for us. I can write down what each family member is doing on any day, and it's easy to see who needs to be where when. Things were getting lost when it all had to be crammed into one square. The calendar we use comes with stickers for marking things like doctor's appointments or days off from school." Read more about how karenmarie puts this plan into action, then share your own organizational strategies.

I like to use Google Calendar, and I have created different calendars for different people and job-type. It’s not as efficient as four columns, perhaps, but with the ability to colour each category differently, I may be able to come close. :)
