I asked for your ideas on chores that kids with special needs can do, and reader themomma shared one tailored to a young child's ability:
"This may sound so stupid but my son is responsible for making sure that the front door gets closed. He is only three and has autism so it may not be the most helpful thing in the world but it's a good example about how something little can be a huge benefit to a great little kid."
Finding a good chore for your child may involve inventing something he can do, or breaking a bigger task into tiny parts so that she can participate. What chores does your child do? Share your inspirations on the Readers Respond page.
