Tell Your StoryI asked for your ideas of things to do when there's nothing to do, and reader wingch had a fun one to share:

"We start by each writing a few sentences to start a story on a piece of paper. Then, we pass the paper around, write a few more sentences, and pass it again. This is a really fun game to play, and the results can be hilarious!"

If your kids can handle the storytelling but not the writing, I've done this one with each player adding a sentence to the story verbally. Good for long waits in the car.

What do you do when there's nothing to do? Share on the Readers Respond page.
