Educating the Educators: A comment left by Melanie on an older post about special education and Catholic schools mentioned Alternative Designs for Special Education, a site that seeks to create programs that allow private schools to fully serve students with special needs. According to the organization's site, "ADSE exists to serve the needs of private educators and parents so that there are options to public school special education programming." If that's an option you've been looking around for, it will be heartening to note that some schools are making the effort -- and to have a resource to suggest the next time a private school tells you "we don't know how to do that."
