This Tuesday, my streak of weekly book reviews takes a brief respite, but I've still got some book-related goodness for you today -- an excerpt from last week's Harried Parent's Book Club pick, Siblings of Children With Autism: A Guide for Families. I was struck by a passage that talked about tuning in to how scary meltdowns may be for siblings, and gave some advice for reassuring everyone (including the child with autism, and maybe even yourself) that you know how to handle things, and that you will keep everybody safe. I'm happy to be able to share that with you now, with permission from the authors. Read the excerpt, and share your own advice for parents of kids with autism.
