Here's my weekly gathering of events, activities, and sites of interest that have landed in my e-mail queue or otherwise caught my attention this week:
+ The FASD Think Tank has posted a list of "Over 100 Holiday Strategies for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders" to help families make it through the holidays. Many are useful for kids with any kind of behavioral challenges (which, this time of year, is a whole lot of our kiddos, no?). The Think Tank's new blog is one to keep an eye on in the New Year.
+ Best Buddies has a holiday video up on YouTube called "The Gift of Friendship," featuring Best Buddies founder Anthony K. Shriver and his buddy Jorge. If it moves you to make a donation, there's a link there right on the YouTube page.
+ Two new books of interest I was notified about this week: Loud Hands: Autistic People, Speaking, an anthology from the Loud Hands Project, and The Complete Guide to Getting a Job for People with Asperger's Syndrome: Find the Right Career and Get Hired, from Jessica Kingsley Publishers.
Has something interesting rolled across your computer screen this week? Share in the comments.
