Redefining 'College Material'

My son just started his second semester at community college, my daughter her next-to-last, and every day I marvel at how far both they and colleges in general have come since the days when my mention of a college experience would have earned derisive laughter and a "mom has no clue" headshake from the assembled IEP team.
