Lent begins tomorrow, and as I've been doing some years now, I will be giving up coffee. So you should be expecting some grouchy blog posts for the rest of this week, at least. If you're trying to figure out something to abstain from between now and Easter (and man, Day 2 of Lent is Valentine's Day, so giving up chocolate's out), or just regrouping after the spectacular failure of your New Year's Resolutions, my articles 20 Things Not to Worry About Today and Take a Day Off can give you some ideas of things that you can give up, at least on a one-day-at-a-time basis. Abstaining from throwing temper tantrums, obsessing over problems, overreacting, and focusing on the negative would probably be a good choice, too.
