A Message from Not Alone
I asked Mike Woods of Not Alone if he had a message for the fans who made it the Favorite Special-Needs Parenting Blog winner, and he wrote:
"We would like to thank all of the people who voted for Not Alone during the Readers' Choice Awards! We're honored to represent parents of children with special needs from all walks of life. Each finalist involved in the Favorite Special-Needs Parenting Blog category represents remarkable families who are sharing their lives on their special needs journies."
About Not Alone: "What makes our blog special is that it's a community where parents and grandparents can be real, refreshed, and supported in faith as they raise kids with special needs. Our writers are parents of children with autism, Asperger's, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, adopted children with special needs, medically fragile children, young children with special needs, adult-aged children with special needs, and more. We want parents to feel encouraged, strengthened, and to know they are not alone on their special-needs journey."

Reader Testimonials
When nominating Not Alone for Favorite Special-Needs Parenting Blog, these are among the comments readers made about why it deserved the honor: "Awesome group of writers who have raised kids with special needs and seek to encourage other parents in the special-needs community that they are not alone. ... A different encouraging post every day that helps me get my day started right. ... The writers, who are parents themselves, help to strengthen my faith. ... They are the only ones who offer to pray for my son and me. I can't begin to tell you how important that is for my sense of peace."Recommendation from a Fellow RCA Finalist
I asked 2013 Readers' Choice Awards finalists to pick their favorites in categories other than their own, and Disability Resource Diva, a finalist in the category of Favorite Special-Needs Twitter Feed, picked Not Alone as one of her choices. She wrote: "Not Alone is a great ministry outreach for parents of children with special needs. They provide practical support and encourage building and maintaining relationships, prayer and strengthening prayer. Not Alone is a blessing."
