Question: Who Did You Choose for Your First "Camp Mom" Campers?
Answer: My son had two middle-school classmates who were ideal "Camp Mom" camper candidates: a girl he'd been friends with for years and had many successful playdates with, and a boy he'd known for a while and always wanted to be friends with. The girl had a sister who usually came along on their get-togethers, so although she was a few years younger, she was someone I knew my son could get along with. Four kids to three moms sounded like good odds to us, so we stopped our recruiting there. Since we were all overprotective mamas, there was never any doubt that all of us would be involved as "counselors," every day and every minute of camp.
