What Type of School Do Children With Dandy-Walker Syndrome Attend?

The Dandy-Walker Alliance asked families about the type of school their children attend. Of the sixty families from all over the U.S. who responded:

  • 62.3 percent of the students are in public school with accommodations
  • 17 percent are in public school with no accommodations
  • 11.3 percent are being homeschooled
  • 3.8 percent are in a private school for children with special needs
  • 3.8 percent are in a mainstream private school without accommodations
  • 1.9 percent are in a mainstream private school with accommodations
