22. Smile Pinki

The winner at last night's Oscars for Documentary Short Subject tells the story of a girl growing up in India with a cleft lip who "suffered for six long years waiting for a 45-minute surgery that would change her life." That surgery was provided by The Smile Train, and on the organization's site you can watch a trailer from the film, find out when it will be showing near you, and make a contribution to help other children like Pinki.

23. My 411 Wristbands

Here's a neat idea for keeping your child safer in public places and giving you a little peace of mind -- wristbands imprinted with 50 characters worth of whatever information you need people to know about your child. Put parents' phone numbers, allergy information, advice on what to do if lost, whatever "411" others will need to contact you and help your child. The wristbands are disposable, moisture-proof, and come in packs of 30, with 10 percent of the proceeds going to Autism Speaks.

24. IDEA Discipline Provisions Tool

If your child has behavior problems at school, you may be wondering what protections are offered by IDEA, and what the school would be allowed or required to do in the case of severe disciplinary problems. This easy tool "is designed to help you understand how IDEA's discipline rules apply to specific situations. You provide the situation, and the tool tells you what rules apply and what must, may, and may not be done."

25. Learning Through Listening

This site from Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic offers teachers lesson plans and tips for using audiobooks in their classrooms. If your child would benefit from that, check it out and pass the materials along.

26. Lights Camera Active

From the Living Active With Diabetes site comes a contest designed to get people with diabetes moving. Kids, teens, young adults, and adults with diabetes are invited to make videos of themselves being active and submit it to the contest via YouTube. One winner under will receive a Wii, and over 18 will receive a camcorder. Everyone who enters, though, gets to deliver a message that diabetes doesn't hold you back.
