If you've been having trouble finding this great resource on Nonverbal Learning Disabilities lately, it's been offline for an update. It's back up now, though, and ready to help.

3. Knowledge Safari

What It Is: "Knowledge Safari unites individuals and families living with special needs by providing a place where people throughout the world gain knowledge and share experiences with others in similar circumstances. Together we can connect, discover, share and inspire so that the journey is easier for us all to navigate."

4. Give Kids a Smile!

"Each year on the first Friday in February, thousands of the nation's dentists and their dental team members provide free oral health care services to children from low-income families across the country." From the site, you can find a dental organization in your area to contact for more information.

5. Autism Speaks Baker Summer Camp Program

"Autism Speaks Baker Summer Camp Program will select eligible Camps to identify qualified campers in the United States and will offer up to $5000 in scholarship funds for financially disadvantaged campers with Autism Spectrum Disorders to attend summer camp." From the site, camps can download a form to submit -- if there's a camp you'd like your child to attend, urge them to participate.

8. Sensory Processing for Parents and Professionals

An occupational therapist started this site "to add a positive contribution to daily life for children with sensory processing disorder by giving advice, and describing games and activities. I hope that the advice, activities and games will contribute to parents having more fun together with their child and that they enjoy life more together."

9. Navigating the Storm

There is a new video in the series on the Living With LGS site, this one dealing with sleep and seizures. "Proper sleep hygiene includes the entire experience of getting ready, going and staying asleep. Sleep disruption can impact quality of life and seizure control in children with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. In this video, Dr. Glauser identifies common types of sleep disorders and helps parents address the causes."
