What It Is: "This event enables children, families and all individuals concerned about autism to “Bounce” at a Pump It Up location while raising funds to support autism. Participants form a Bounce Team - their team of bouncers committed to raising funds to help improve the lives of all affected by autism, and ask friends, family, community members, or anyone else to support the cause by giving a donation to sponsor them."
6. No Excuses Unlimited
What It Is: "The mission of No Excuses Unlimited is to foster national and international skiing competition for members of the United States Adaptive Ski Team (USAST). No Excuses Unlimited supports the teaching, training and development of disabled skiers of all ages."
7. National Doodle Day
What It Is: "As part of NF Awareness month, celebrity doodles are available for auction on eBay during May. These doodles have a very important aim: the funds they raise will benefit NF, Inc., an organization dedicated to providing support to individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF)."
8. Lindt Gold Bunny Celebrity Auction
What It Is: "Lindt will auction off porcelain versions of the iconic Lindt Gold Bunny autographed by celebrities in the entertainment, food, music and sports communities. 100 percent of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to Autism Speaks."
9. The Quaid Foundation
What It Is: "The Quaid Foundation was formed by Dennis and Kimberly Quaid in 2007 after hospital personnel administered an overdose of heparin, a blood thinner, to their 12-day-old twins, putting their lives at great risk. The Quaid family is joining forces with TMIT to raise public awareness about our broken medical system, to eliminate human error, and to make caregivers aware that patients have the right to know all information that could have an impact on their health and well-being, with major focus on increasing awareness of the dangers of medication errors."
